Sony just announced a fund to help indie game developers coping with the COVID-19 pandemic and launched the Play At Home initiative to give out free games to players under quarantine.
The fund will distribute $10 million to help developers and couldn’t have come at better moment. Jim Ryan, Sony’s President & CEO said more details are coming at a later time. Stay tuned!
In the meantime, as a player, you can enjoy the Play At Home program by downloading The Nathan Drake Collection – which includes Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception – and Journey.

The games will be freely available for download from April 15 at 8pm PDT through May 5, 2020 at 8pm PDT. Once you get them, they’ll be yours to keep.

Kudos to Sony for the great initiative. Those are great titles you should definitely play if you still haven’t.
However, if you live in Europe or the US, downloads might take a little longer than usual. According to Sony, that’s on purpose, considering how important it is for us to wisely manage our internet connection resources during these pandemic times. So, no hurries. Let’s be patient during quarantine! 🙂
