Remnant: From the Ashes is a game that has quickly become one of the top titles you can play out there. If you are very passionate about RPG titles and Dark Souls-like games with a multiplayer aspect, then Remnant: From the Ashes is definitely the right title for you. The idea here is that the world is now in chaos and another dimension has entered our reality. You are one of the few survivors that can actually do something about this, and at this point it’s only the way you approach this and how you handle the entire process that will eventually reach your success or your demise. Challenges can arise at any given time, so the only thing that you can do is to constantly get better gear and handle any situation with your wits and skills.
What’s interesting in Remnant: From the Ashes is that the game worlds are procedurally generated and even the bosses are different as they have other abilities, some changes every time and so on. They went with that in order to bring you a much better and more comprehensive game experience and that alone really helps a lot. It’s one of those things that really pushes the boundaries as it encourages you to explore and play more.
Since this is a game like Destiny in some ways, loot is extremely important. You have 3 main character types, each one with its own abilities. And obviously the loot is character based. According to my experience there’s a lot of variation when it comes to the loot you can find, the gameplay experience you get as you progress and what items you choose. There are some interesting things hidden within the game, and that alone really helps quite a lot in regards to pushing the boundaries and taking the gameplay to that next level in a creative and unique manner.
Boss battles are very demanding and challenging on Remnant. These tend to be rather insane to the point where you will find yourself trying to become better and better all the time. This is not a simple game experience, it’s full of challenges and it constantly pushes you to get better and better at the game. And you can become that as long as you are willing to handle some challenges and go through the rather barren game world at times.
There are some repetitive locations, sewers are boring to be in, but the good thing is that once you play with a friend the fun opens up and the gameplay becomes 10 times better. Yes, it does take a little while to get there but in the end that’s what a game like this does. It encourages you to test out skills and weapons, all while adapting yourself and always trying to get more done.
Yes, this game is challenging and sometimes it can become rather demanding, but you will always find something new and fresh to be had here. You do want to check out Remnant: From the Ashes right now, and it will be an amazing experience every time!
