Evan’s Remains – merging puzzles with visual novel elements

Hi there! I’ve been developing Evan’s Remains for quite some time.

Evan's Remains

So what is this game about?

Evan’s Remains is a puzzle game that also features a mystery story. You solve puzzles based on logic with different mechanics that are slowly introduced and combined, and at the same time, you follow the story of Dysis in her adventure to find Evan, a genius boy that’s been missing for years.

I used to play a lot of Japanese games when I was a teenager, such as Yume Nikki, Ghost Trick, Ace Attorney and so on and so forth, so I always wanted to make a game that, while completely different, carried the same vibe and atmosphere. Given all the feedback I’ve been receiving from the past year and a half, it would seem I’m achieving it! (Or at least I like to believe that)

Also, I always loved puzzle games and mystery games, so why don’t make something that has both?

Anyways, a lot of time has passed and I was able to find a publisher, Whitethorn Digital, which allowed me to leave my daily job and go “indie”.

However, there’s still a lot of work to do, and in order to cover the last sprint of development, I’ve decided to recently launch a Kickstarter campaign.

There’s also a link for a free demo on the campaign, so you can check it out if you are curious!

Anyways, I just wanted to tell you a bit about my story and my game. It would make me really happy if you try out the demo, and if you like it, you can even back me up on Kickstarter and help me on making my dream of becoming an independent game developer a reality.

Thanks a lot for your time. Have a great day!
